FAQs

What does a 541 Social Club Contrast Therapy session consist of?

Simply put, you’re going to get really hot, then get really cold! Our session protocols consists of two rounds of hot and cold exposure. We start with a 15-20 minute sit in a traditional wooden barrel sauna (~190 degrees) followed directly by a full submersion into a commercial grade BlueCube cold tub (~40 degrees). We rest for 1-2 minutes to let your body naturally thermoregulate, then repeat that process.

We believe our contrast therapy sessions stand apart and above from the rest because we guide you through the entire experience. Our coaches are right there with you to not only inspire and motivate you with positive vibes, but also through an abundance of knowledge around hot and cold exposure and how to properly calm your breathing and therefore your central nervous system. This allows your body to relax and enjoy the experience instead of just respond to the natural fight or flight response that is triggered when experiencing the extreme hot and cold temperatures.

Outside of just the physical and mental health benefits from hot and cold exposure, we’re proud that our brand creates a unique and memorable social experience that is forged with our amazing participants and coaches. We often see new friendships, bonds and community created during and after our sessions. This is more than just a hot and cold session, this is social club and a lifestyle brand.

What should I bring to the session?

We recommend bringing the things that make you feel the most comfortable, including: a bathing suit, water bottle, flip flops, sweat towel, large towel for drying off and warm clothes for afterwards. We also recommend bringing some electrolytes for post session to replenish and rehydrate the body. LMNT, Liquid IV, Gatorade or other electrolyte drinks work well.

You can also rent towels and purchase LMNT electrolyte drink mix from 541 Social Club for a small fee, available to add to your purchase upon checking out.

Is it safe to go directly from hot to cold?

Just like anything, there is always a risk when performing any physically or mentally challenging task. That risk is higher for anyone with a current cardiovascular disease, neurological disorder or lung function impairment. If you do currently have any cardiopulmonary issues, we recommend getting doctors clearance before experiencing contrast therapy. That being said, the body is extremely resilient and is capable of handling way more than we believe it can. Going from hot to cold is scientifically proven to have massive physical and mental benefits and is done by people from all ages, sexes, and ability levels. Our staff are CPR and First Aid certified and confident that your experience will be guided, safe and memorable. Trust in us, we’ve got your back!

Are there discounts for buying multiple sessions?

Absolutely! We believe in supporting the whole person and all their health and wellness needs. We can do that by increasing the frequency in which you experience deliberate hot & cold exposure. Our membership subscriptions allow for an individual to purchase 2, 4 or 8 session packages to ensure they are getting the support and health benefits they need to fit their life demands. The price per session breakdown is below and can also be found on our pricing section of the website.

Intro Pack (2 sessions/month)=$99 (~$50/session)

Recovery Pack (4 sessions/month)=$180 (~$45/session)

Performance Pack (8 sessions/month)=$320 (~$40/session)

Can I try a free session?

Unfortunately not. We have hard costs that are required to host each session and we also have bills to pay too. But, we are happy to provide you a first time discount where you can bring a friend and get 50% off your purchase price. So instead of $55/person, your first session (only if another first time friend is brought with you) will be $55 total. This helps cover our hard cost of the session and allows you and a friend to try a new experience at a discounted rate. Please click & use the discount coupon “PLUSONE” upon checking out.
